The videos don't replace the instructions that come with your pattern, instead Lauren shares her personal hints and tips that she finds useful to help you make a lovely garment. For this more involved project, Lauren has created seven separate videos (in total over 1.5 hours of footage) that cover everything from:
- guidance on denim care
- how to choose a size and baste fit
- cutting out and preparing to sew
- getting professional looking top stitching
- sewing on the fly front
- how to apply the denim hardware using Prym Vario Pliers and much, much more
The videos use the Cashmerette Ames and Closet Core Mid-rise Ginger jeans as examples, but the information included could be applied to other jeans patterns as well.
Specific reference is also given to washing and caring for raw, selvedge stretch denim.
