Getting in some fun relaxing sewing time at Christmas can be a tricky thing.
All to often I think you either end up not getting much of a chance at all. Or it ends up being last minute present making, when you realise you’ve been over ambitious thinking that you can make 6 decorations hand embroidered with ‘*babys name* first Christmas’ at 10pm the night before you need to give the gifts……or maybe that’s just me!
So that’s why this year we made our popular annual Christmas party at the shop into The g&g Festive Bee! A chance for you lovely lot to come together and do a bit of chilled out sewing in our lovely studio with the Christmas tunes on and festive treats on hand.
Last week our first special evening took place so here are some lovely photos from the evening beautifully captured by Victoria.
The studio was looking so twinkly and Christmasy.
With everyone busy chatting and sewing.
We had some lovely felt embroidered decorations getting made.
Some cosy foxy eye masks.
And some lovely snuggly hot water bottle covers.
Of course there was lots of treats on hand to fuel the sewing.
We were lucky enough to have a visit from Santa too!
And he left little treats for everyone.
So obviously I always sew in party dresses at Christmas time....
.....no just kidding! It's normally PJ's all the way!
I was so happy to have another chance to wear my party Sew Over It Betty dress (see this blog post for more details). Claire had on a gorgeous By Hand London Anna dress in a lovely silver sequin fabric.
Our next event is the Sew Many Resolutions Party in January that you can find out more about in this link. It's been really popular so far so if you would like to go on the waiting list in case of any cancellations just drop Meg an email at email@example.com
