Wow what a great day we had yesterday at the g&g Summer party! Thank you so much to everyone who came along and joined in the festivities.
Our new summer window display looks so fresh and colourful with the 'Summer Wardrobe Selection' makes!
The shop was looking great with everyone full of summer sewing ideas!
Layla, our dressmaking tutor, did some fantastic demonstrations in the studio.
We had some delicious homemade lemonade and cake for essential sustenance on a hot muggy day!
Not wanting to miss out, Sophia came along in her handmade dress to meet everyone.
We also had a raffle in aid of Birmingham Childrens Hospital and raised over £170! Thank you so much to everyone who supported and bought tickets and congratulations to the winners. I'm still looking through all the amazing entries to our online competition and will announce the winner next week.
All our 'Summer Selection Wardrobe' outfits and co-ordinating fabrics all have 15% off, which has now been extended online until Sunday 24th July 2016 while stocks last!
Tropical Willow Dress
I love this bright print that’s like scattered palm tree leaves. The shape of the Grainline patterns Willow dress is a simple shift but with the added pleat detail. The pattern also has a top variation (which I’ve made and love!) so it’s great for beginners of those with less experience.
Beautiful Brumby and Briar set
This skirt and top combo is great for summer. Both are relatively easy makes so great for confident beginners or a nice quick project for those with more experience. The cotton jersey fabric is beautiful – as are all the Art Gallery jerseys, and if you’ve sewn with them before you’ll know their high quality. They wash very well and are more stable than lightweight jerseys making them easier to sew but still light and comfy to wear.
I love the top stitching on the Brumby and the exposed zip at the back makes it look really professional.
Thank you again for all your support and I hope those of you who made it along had a lovely time.
A huge thank you to the g&g team as well for all their amazing hard work in preparing for the event!
It was great to see you again after being away from the shop for the past few months and I hope to see you all again soon! Our next two big events are the Sew Brum meet up on 24th September and then SEW Saturday on the 15th October!
