I think it’s pretty obvious that I certainly love my clothes (especially the ones that I’ve made) so when I was asked to be a ‘super crafter’ as part of a nation wide campaign called ‘Love your clothes’ I was all in!

The Love Your Clothes campaign run by the charity Wrap, aims to reduce the environmental impact of clothing by raising awareness of the value of clothes. It encourages consumers to think about the way they buy, use and dispose of their clothing.

Every year an estimated £140 million worth (around 350,000 tonnes) of used clothing goes to landfill in the UK. Love Your Clothes provides practical tips, hints and knowledge to influence and inspire people to take action and start loving their clothes!

Last year I got involved by making two short tutorial films with them, one on how to re-use baby grows to make a memory quilt, and a second using a pair of old jeans to make a handy tablet cover.

You can view the full range of their videos on the Love Your Clothes website! They have so many on there from how to do simple repairs to getting troublesome stains out of clothing so you can love them again!

They are currently running a ‘Lost Sock Campaign’ to highlight that a whopping 616 million socks go to landfill each year! You can check out their crazy music video based on the Basement Jaxx hit ‘Jump n’ shout’ and share it to be in with the chance of winning £750 of Virgin Experience vouchers.
